Sabrina's Europe Trip

So now that I have all this free time and we have internet at the house I can update you on all the happening of the new Hughes’ Family. Thanks for Crystal posting picture of the wedding for everyone. Carley sorry my camera isn’t good enough to get a good picture of the ring.

Some of you might not know that 3 day after I got married I went off on my own adventure with out Robert. I sent him back to Idaho for two more weeks. Then he got to do the best job of packing up his house with his families help. Thanks! And then drive up with his friends help to our great little place on base in Ft. Greely. I will post pics went he house is all done.

So back to ME J. I went to Europe for 16 day and I will just give you a brief happening of each day. T let you know how it worked out Tour Director David arranged all our breakfast, dinner, tickets for the: museums, tube, metro, or train rides. This is the best way I have every traveled. Some one else does all that hard work for you. One other think about the 3 countries I visited is that people smoke everywhere. UGH. I couldn’t wait to get back to the states and the clean air.

London
Day 1: well that started with flying out of SLC to London. Got into London at 8 in the morning, which was really midnight Utah time.
Day 2: Leave the London airport. Victorian museum went out side to nap on the benches with my friend Misty. This is the longest days of my life even thought it is considered two. Went to a square that has a statues of Charley Chaplin and Shakespeare but neither have ever been there, go figure.
Day 3: Bus tour saw: Diagon Alley (Harry Potter), Big Ben (clock tower), London Bridge, went into St. Paul Cathedral, went to the Tower of London and saw the London wall. Ended up at the changing of the guard at Buckingham Palace and the Queen was even in. That night was Wicked on Broadway. Misty and I almost got lost but we are great listeners so we found the group really fast in the Tube. I was so tired that night I fell asleep for 10 minutes at the beginning but great play!
Day 4: Took a ride up to Stonehenge and Bath. It was fun to say I saw a famous pile of great big rocks. Now Bath was another store. That is where the Roman baths are and you can even drink that water that they believe to have healing powers. Saw the London Eye which is like a big Farris wheel.
Day 5: Last day in London. Road the Eurostar to Paris. That night in Paris went to a church up on a hill that had a great view of the city and the Eiffel tower. Did some great shopping there. Got some Paris perfume that I am still so excited about using.

France
Day 6: Went to church, yes the LDS church and it was even in English. Went to the textiles Museum where we saw Versatchie dresses. (How does you spell his name?) Down the street form the museum was the Tour de France race going on. The Notre Dame church I would have to say is my favorite out of the tones that we saw on the trip.
Day 7: Bus tour of town. Saw the Eiffel tower and a famous Arch with a round about and other places that I have no names for.
Day 8:Free time in the morning, found a flee market did some great shopping and found some really good pastier shop, yum, yum. Went to the Versailles Castle, great big beautiful gardens. Got on the night train to go to Italy. It looked just like the train on Harry Potter but six people have to fit in there with their luggage.
(I can’t remember what day we went to the Louvre, which was a huge castle but now a museum where I got to see the Mona Lisa and two other famous statues.)

Italy
Got bus drive Danalie who was with us for the rest of the time! Great driver.
Day 9: Oh, once in France and Italy you have to pay to use the public bathrooms. Castle of Sforza. Cathedral in Milano. The churches started to look the same but very beautiful. At dinner had happy birthday sung to me.
Day 10: Silk museum. Lake Como. Drive to a city out side of Venice.
Day 11:Boat rice to Venice. My FAVORITE place. I got some Venishian glass while there. Walking tour of town. St. Marcus Church, and another museum.
Day (August 2) 11: Revena. Saw two churches there with mosaic art work in them.
Day 13 (Aug 3): Walking tour of Florence. Leaning tower of Piazza. Saw the replica of David (the famous statue).
Day 14: Vatican City

ROME
Day 15 last day: What a cool place you need more than one cay. Started off seeing the Colosseum then went to the Sistine chapel ( is that in the Vatican City b/c we went there also) is because it was so pretty the painting so cool, Spanish steps, Trevi Fountain.
Day 16: so excited to get home and be one more day close to seeing Robert in Alaska.

Sorry so long I tried to keep it short. I love you all. ;)

COSTA RICA!

Finally need to tell everyone about Costa Rica!   I had the time of my life!  It's been two months now so I'm really behind, but to no further ado....!!!

Angie and I went to the Cultural Square; they were hosting the Cow parade and I found the kissing cow!  You can't see the lips painted on the side but if you look closely on the shoulder there is a boy and girl about to kiss, I'm in front of the lips though!

We also went zip lining in the jungle, that was amazing and woa so much fun!  Highly recommended.  Here is a video that I took, my tour guide, Bali, was kind enough to give me a strap to attach my camera to so I wouldn't drop it!  Okay it won't load but here is a picture!  haha

I had so much fun with Angie and her family.  It was a great experience.  I even had one night when Dustin and Angie went to dinner to celebrate their anniversary, that the kids were practically begging for me to teach them aerobics, we had a blast!  THe beach was amazing and we were able to see some planes land and take off right above our heads on the beach.  I loved that trip!  Next time it's Mexico!
