Middle of the Week Events

For those of you who are wondering what is going on with Spencer's nose I'll give you the update. Due to Jordan's flights being delayed by 2 1/2 hrs. he was unable to take Spencer to the doctor until this morning. So the diagnosis is that it is a skin irritation that as a result makes the area swell up. So he has to take steroids and antibiotics for a while. As a result of all of this he has been home for the past two days. I'm going to be really happy with him going back to school! (Spencer was the one who set up the pose for the picture.) I've been still working on getting Camarae to roll over from her stomach to her back. She will do it every one in a while. She has rolled from her back to her stomach a couple of times too. Lately she wants to do that when she is in her bed going to sleep. So today when I went in there while she was napping I found her on her stomach asleep. I felt kind of bad because I had heard her screaming before she fell asleep but I just assumed it was her crying like normal.

Today she also was very interested in sitting by herself. She had done it a couple of time before but never as long as she has done it today. She looked really cute and I was able to get some pictures of her for all to see and for documentation. I'm also going to include a couple of pictures of her eating her toes. This is one of her favorite things to do right now.

First Day Event

This week I'm babysitting for Vicky while she is gone to Costa Rica. Matt and I are spending the week at their house so that Jordan could still leave early for work and that we didn't have to leave really early from our house everyday to get here in the mornings.

This morning when I got up and went to see if Alexis and Spencer were up and ready for school I found that Spencer had a dried up bloody nose. I also noticed that the end of his nose was really swollen and red. I asked him if he had bumped his nose on his bed last night. He said he didn't remember what had happened to his nose. We got him all cleaned up and both ready for school. His nose was still swollen but I thought that the swelling would go down during the day and he didn't say anything about his nose bothering him. So off to school we went to join the car riders drop off line.

After being home for an hour with the other kids I received a call from the school nurse. She wanted to know what had happened to Spencer's nose. I told her what I had found/knew about his nose. Also telling her that his mom would be out of town for the next week. She said she would keep an eye on his nose today and call if it seemed to get worse. At 2 o'clock I got another call from the school nurse reporting that Spencer was complaining about his nose hurting him. The afternoon nurse was different from the morning nurse so I had to tell her about both parents being out of town today and that I wouldn't be able to pick him up because I was not a parent/guardian or had written permission from either parent to pick him up from school. So Spencer had to stay at school for the last hour and ride the bus home. When he got home his nose was not as swollen as it was when he left for school. So I was hoping that the swelling would continue to go down and it would go back to normal. Before bedtime we went outside and played for a while. When we came back inside his nose had swelled up again. I do not know what is going on with his nose but it seems like allergies or something like that. I was going to try to take him into the doctor but I don't think that they will even see him since I can't sign as a legal guardian. So he will have to wait until Jordan gets back from his business trip tomorrow to be able to go to the doctor. Hopefully it will not be anything to bad and that the doctor will be able to give him something that will help really quickly.

Other than Spencer's nose event the day was pretty much normal. We will have to keep you posted on how the rest of the week goes. Hope you enjoy the pictures of Spencer's nose and the one of Dallin too, he really wanted a picture taken of him too.

*If you would like to see what Spencer's nose normally looks like go to Vicky's blog and look at the Easter picts. (posted in March). There is one of Spencer were you can see his nose in its normal state.*

Saturday Happenings

If you haven't figured out by now that I like to get my hair cut now you do. Mom had an appointment to get her hair cut today. So while she was getting her color set the hair dresses cut my hair even shorter. I know I didn't think I would every say those words. But having short hair is the coolest new things that I have discovered these last two months. I just wish it had happened sooner. I haven't decided if I will want to grow my hair back long again. Well after getting the hair cut and all the jazz. Mom and I meet up with Desaray and her friend Ryann. We went to eat at Rumbi's. It was good, a cute little chinese place I guess. Then we did some shopping.

When mom and I got home I sold my
calculator that I had posted on KSL. Which would make it a total of two things that we have sold off line this week. Only two more to go.
Mom made a big purchase we finaly have an iPod that lives at this resident. Yahoo way to go mom. :)

Summer Happenings

So I have had a lot of spart time these last few weeks. So I have finished a couple of projects before I start my real job. It is in costomer service taking in bound calls. Which of course is my favorite thing. :)- It does sound interesting though beside taking call. It is dealing with DNA testing with sibling ship, grandparents, who is my daddy kind of stuff. It is a really good company on the plus side and not bad pay for now.

So I finish this dress which I started last April so a year later and it is finally done yeehaw. THis jacket was just for fun but it turned out really cute. Crystal if you want it for Camarea it is yours when you get out here.

Oh, Desaray and I are training for a half marathan which I am so excited about. I can wait to get back in the race atmospher it bring all these from butterfly feeling and the competitive side out of me. We are looking at doing one in June.

In her own words....Mmmmmmmmm!

Camarae has finally gotten over not wanting to eat baby foods. Right now she loves sweet potatoes, bananas, and peaches. The whole time that she is eating she makes the Mmmmmm noise. It is funny. She sometimes likes to help get the spoon in her mouth too so she gets a little messy. She has tried peas, carrots, and squash and does not like any of those. After every time of trying the peas she pulls a face that says yuck and then she sticks out her tongue. I get a kick out of it.

The weather has finally turned warm and everything is green. It is a nice and enjoyable season right now. I can't wait until they open the pools around here and then Camarae and I can go swimming. For now we just go outside and do some yard work or sit on the deck and enjoy the weather and nature noises.

Some plans that we have for this summer are going to Maryland, D.C. area, at the end of June beginning of July to visit Matt's dad and grandma. Then in the middle of July to the end of July Camarae and I are going to fly out to Utah to visit family out there. It is going to be a fun summer and I can't wait for our trips to begin. I just hope she does well on both trips.
